Wind Symphony is considered the premiere performing ensemble at Reynolds Middle School. Members of the group are held to the highest standards and perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the state. Pervious performance venues have included the Meyerson Symphony Center in downtown Dallas, and the Murchison Performing Arts Center on the campus of the University of North Texas. The Wind Symphony is a consistent UIL Sweepstakes Award winning ensemble and also competes in numerous local and national competitions. Students in this ensemble are expected to participate in the All Region Audition Process as Reynolds has consistently been in the top tier of schools placing students in these elite groups. Private Lessons are a critical part to this ensemble’s success and every student is expected to be involved in a weekly lesson.
Symphonic Band is an ensemble of dedicated musicians at Reynolds Middle School. Symphonic Band is a consistent UIL Sweepstakes awarded ensemble that also has achieved great success at the Peak Music Festival. Not only performing at a Division 1 level, but also Symphonic Band has achieved the top recognition as Best In Class (2014, 2015, 2016). As a part of this ensemble students are required to attend a once a week sectional, and are encouraged to participate in the All Region audition process. Private Lessons are a critical part to this ensemble’s success and every student is expected to be involved in a weekly lesson.
Concert Band is an ensemble of dedicated musicians at Reynolds Middle School that meets in 3 sections: Brass, Woodwind, Percussion. Concert Band will focus on improving the individual player through class time sectionals and full ensemble skills. Students will participate in a Spring Festival, and private lessons are strongly encouraged.
