Tina Parr

Tina Parr is the new Director of Bands at Reynolds Middle School. Prior to joining the Reynolds Band, Mrs. Parr was one of the Prosper High School Mighty Eagle Band Directors. Mrs. Parr is so excited to be at Reynolds and to continue the Eagle Pride of excellence at Reynolds! Her passion is music and the joy that it can bring to everyone! She looks forward to meeting the Reynolds Band family and establishing individual goals for students, sections and bands while having fun! Here is a little bit about Mrs. Parr. She received her Bachelor of Music Education from Lamar University. Her primary instruments are Clarinet and Saxophone. While studying at Lamar, Parr was in the Wind Ensemble on Clarinet, lead Tenor Sax in the top Jazz Band and Color Guard Captain for the Marching Band. This will be Mrs. Parr's 28th year of teaching and before she came to Prosper she taught in Beaumont, Burleson, Denton and Frisco ISD. Her husband, Gerald Parr is an Assistant Principal at Prosper High School and she has three sons, Zach, Gatlin and Lawson. Zach graduated from The University of Sam Houston with a Finance degree and is now pursuing his professional golf career. Gatlin graduated from Prosper High School and is now attending U.T Dallas majoring in Engineering. Lawson is in 8th grade and plays the trumpet and basketball.

Samantha Hoffman

Ms. Samantha Hoffman grew up in Plano, TX where she attended Plano Senior High School under the direction of Jeremy Kondrat, graduating in 2011. After high school, Ms. Hoffman pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at The University of Oklahoma. At OU she studied flute with Dr. Valerie Watts and studied music education with Dr. Christopher Baumgartner, Dr. Michael Hancock, Dr. Brian Wolfe, and Dr. Michael Raiber. During her time at OU, she performed with the Symphony Band, Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band.

Prior to coming to Reynolds Middle School, Ms. Hoffman spent her first year of teaching in Guthrie, Oklahoma teaching 6th through 8th grade band. While in Guthrie Ms. Hoffman assisted with the High School Symphonic Band and the High School Marching Band.

Ms. Hoffman is a member of several musical organizations including the Texas Music Educators Association, the Oklahoma Music Educators Association, and Sigma Alpha Iota Music Sorority.

Preston Beck

Mr. Preston Beck is an Assistant Band Director at Reynolds Middle School in Prosper, Texas.

Prior to joining the Reynolds Band, Mr. Beck earned his Bachelor's of Music Education Degree from the University of North Texas. While at UNT, Beck served as a two-year Drum Major of the Green Brigade Marching Band, worked as the Assistant Director of the Basketball Band, and was a member of several concert bands and chamber ensembles. Beck is a trombone player. His primary trombone instructors include Jan Kagarice, Philip Graham, and Carl Lundgren. As a trombonist, Beck has shared the stage with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Winds, musicians such as Joe Alessi and Mark Davidson, and has been broadcasted on NPR's From the Top. A native of Lewisville, Texas, Beck graduated from Lewisville High School, student taught in the Hebron High School cluster, and worked with the Flower Mound High School Band as a marching technician.

Mr. Beck is excited to meet and work with the students and parents of the Reynolds Band in the fall!

Jack Pronske

Mr. Pronske is the Percussion Paraprofessional at Reynolds Middle School and private lesson teacher for Prosper ISD. He is a recent graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in music education. During his time at UNT, he has both played in and led many ensembles under the direction of Christopher Deane and Paul Rennick, including teaching the UNT Green Brigade Marching Band and leading the Front Ensemble section for the UNT Indoor Drumline. Mr. Pronske has been actively involved in Drum Corps International by being a member of multiple Drum Corps. In 2009, he played Vibraphone for the Madison Scouts, and in 2010, he played Marimba for the Phantom Regiment, where they won the Fred Sanford High Percussion Award. Along with pursuing his degree, he has spent the past few years teaching at high schools around the DFW area.
