Tina Parr

Tina Parr is the Director of Bands at Reynolds Middle School. Prior to joining the Reynolds Band, Mrs. Parr was one of the Prosper High School Mighty Eagle Band Directors. Mrs. Parr is so excited to be at Reynolds and to continue the Eagle Pride of excellence at Reynolds! Her passion is music and the joy that it can bring to everyone! She looks forward to meeting the Reynolds Band family and establishing individual goals for students, sections and bands while having fun! Here is a little bit about Mrs. Parr. She received her Bachelor of Music Education from Lamar University. Her primary instruments are Clarinet and Saxophone. While studying at Lamar, Parr was in the Wind Ensemble on Clarinet, lead Tenor Sax in the top Jazz Band and Color Guard Captain for the Marching Band. This will be Mrs. Parr’s 28th year of teaching and before she came to Prosper she taught in Beaumont, Burleson, Denton and Frisco ISD. Her husband, Gerald Parr is an Assistant Principal at Prosper High School and she has three sons, Zach, Gatlin and Lawson. Zach graduated from The University of Sam Houston with a Finance degree and is now pursuing his professional golf career. Gatlin graduated from Prosper High School and is now attending U.T Dallas majoring in Engineering. Lawson is in 9th grade and plays the trumpet and basketball.

Jarred Dodd

Mr. Jarred Dodd is an Assistant Band Director at Reynolds Middle School in Prosper, Texas.

This is Mr. Dodd’s 8th year of teaching and 1st year at Reynolds Middle School. Prior to joining the Reynolds Band, Mr. Dodd earned his Bachelor’s of Music Education Degree from Texas Tech University, where he played trumpet as a member of the Goin’ Band From Raiderland, the Court Jesters Basketball band, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Dodd will be teaching the Brass classes at Reynolds and conducting Concert Band 1. 

Before teaching at Reynolds, Mr. Dodd taught in Midlothian at Frank Seale MS and in Wolfforth at Frenship MS, where his bands have consistently earned Superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading contests and other Texas music festivals. 

Mr. Dodd is a huge baseball fan and has been to a game in all 30 MLB stadiums. He and his wife, Alison, enjoy spending time together, vacationing in Colorado and are looking forward to welcoming their first son in October of this year.

Clayton Koch

This is Clayton Koch’s 2nd year at Reynolds Middle School and is an Assistant Band Director. Mr. Koch received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University, where he studied with Professor Amy Anderson, Dr. Sarah McKoin, and Dr. Jacqueline Henninger. While at Texas Tech, Mr. Koch played oboe in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the University Symphony Orchestra, as well as saxophone in the Goin’ Band From Raiderland and guitar in the University Jazz Ensemble. His tenure in the University Symphony Orchestra included performing at the TMEA Clinic and Convention in 2015 and at the Lincoln Center in New York. While in Lubbock, Mr. Koch was also an active private lesson instructor, teaching oboe private lessons and master classes in Frenship ISD. Most recently, Mr. Koch student taught within the Austin area in Leander ISD at Stiles Middle School and Glenn High School. Mr. Koch is a native of Leander, having graduated from Leander High School. His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Mu Phi Epsilon.

Kevin Hanrahan

Kevin Hanrahan is the Percussion Specialist at Reynolds Middle School.

Mr. Hanrahan is an active percussion educator and performer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music (Chicago, IL), and a Master’s Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville, TN). Currently, Mr. Hanrahan teaches percussion at Reynolds MS and Prosper HS as well as private lessons at Memorial HS and Rogers MS. Previously, Mr. Hanrahan taught in Frisco ISD, in addition to East Tennessee and throughout the Chicagoland area.

Mr. Hanrahan spent several years both as a member and an educator in DCI and WGI, notably with the Phantom Regiment (Rockford, IL), Santa Clara Vanguard (Santa Clara, CA), NorthCoast Academy (Saginaw, MI), and Vigilantes Indoor Percussion (Fort Wort, TX). He has aided in capturing multiple Fred Sanford High Percussion Awards and several WGI Gold medals. In his free time Mr. Hanrahan performs with the FC Dallas Drum line, as well as operate his chamber ensemble, Odd River.
